Client Experience Guide

I am so excited to serve you in your photography needs!

My goal as your photographer is not to make or photoshop you to  look  beautiful or a certain way but to show you the beauty you already have.

In this Client Experience Guide you’ll find everything you’ll need to know about a session with me.

I’ve included some helpful tips to hopefully make this process as smooth as possible for you. If you have any questions please ask!

What To Expect

family in bluebonnets

BEFORE

About a week before your session, I will send you an email with directions for how to get to your session location and where we will meet. You’ll also receive a reminder to make your final payment. If you have any questions leading up to your session, feel free to reach out!

DURING

During our time together, you can expect my sense of humor, I will say something silly (or funny noises for kids) to make you laugh as I snap photos! I will guide you on what to do with prompts. I take LOTS of photos to make sure I get the great shots we need, I love to capture candid moments and genuine interaction! Make lots of physical contact, love on your family with lots of cuddles and kisses!

Unless the kids are doing something dangerous, there are no rules! Let them run, play and be silly!

AFTER

You can expect your photos to be sent to you in an online gallery via email about 2-3 weeks after your session! You’ll be able to download your high-resolution images and purchase prints straight from your gallery! About a week after your images have been delivered, I will follow up with to ensure you could download your images and help you choose prints and sizes (I offer a lot of options!!)

What To WEAR

For the Family:

Dress it up! This session is an investment and definitely something to dress up for! Dressy photos stand out and make you feel extra special.

Coordinating Colors! Instead of coordinating with everyone wearing exactly the same thing, pick 1 or 2 colors that compliment each other, include different prints and shades. Balance out bolder colors or print with creamy neutrals. This looks way more polished!

Colors I Love

Mustard Yellow
Creamy neutrals over stark white
Warm Brown
Rust
Teal
Dusty Blues & Pinks

Colors to Avoid

All in neutrals or dark colors, its good to mix it up
Stark White
Top to bottom solid black or navy blue, this can cause the subject lose their shape creating a box
Neon Colors or very large busy patterns

For Her:

Movement! Flowy dresses and skirts look most stunning for two reasons.

1) they bring movement to the shot.

2) they fit and flatter the female body best.

Consider materials and they how much it moves and how it lays on the ground or steps. Take a peek at my Client Closet! Available for sessions that are 30 minutes or more.

Less is more when it comes to jewelry, choose 1 or two statement pieces over lots of distractions. Use the excuse to get your nails done. There are few things I love more than an excuse to get a mani/pedi!

Things to avoid: If possible please cut the hang loops and tags from tops and dresses. SPF in makeup. SPF works by reflecting light. This can sometimes make you look shiny/oily in photos

For Him:

Colors: Many of my guys love to mix a coat, blazer, or button up with a different pant color or shade. It adds some extra visual interest and helps to break up the color tones. If you stuck on what to wear all guys look great in blue!

Slacks or Khakis are preferred over denim jeans!

For cooler weather, I love a nice pullover sweater with khakis and boots or a sports coat, button up without a tie.

For warmer weather, I suggest nice khaki shorts and a button up with the sleeves rolled up.

What To BRING

BRIBES!

Whether its for your kids or pets, treats make any one smile, even if its for a few shots! It doesn't have to be candy, sometimes bubbles work just as good!

Extra Outfits

This is for those little ones that may have unpreventable accidents that happen in the car on the over or during the shoot. Life happens and thats okay!
